This is a really special picture. We have been best friends since freshman year and now we are finally graduating. We’ve been through so much and we finally made it.

This is my movement picture. You can see the steps she is taking as she is running to first. You can capture a picture like this but using the snapshot button on the camera, taking multiple pictures at once.

This was taken at night. I love the solid black background because the red flower really stands out from the dark background.

This blurred flower really turned out cool. It almost looks like lights at night. The black background is also really cool.
![IMG_3320[1] IMG_3320[1]](http://kfow13.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/img_33201.jpg?w=300&h=227)
I posterized this picture to make it look like a cartoon. I also changed the colors and I think it turned out really well.
![IMG_3322[1] IMG_3322[1]](http://kfow13.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/img_33221.jpg?w=300&h=217)
I just think this flower is beautiful. I love the shapes of the buds and the bright yellow against the black looks pretty.
![IMG_3325[1] IMG_3325[1]](http://kfow13.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/img_33251.jpg?w=300&h=234)
The red is such a rich color agains the green it just pops and really shows the detail of the flower.
![IMG_3317[1] IMG_3317[1]](http://kfow13.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/img_33171.jpg?w=300&h=200)
This turned out so cool! I think it looks just like a painting!
![IMG_3315[1] IMG_3315[1]](http://kfow13.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/img_33151.jpg?w=300&h=213)
The way the flower is kinda drooping down, made me feel like it was dying so I changed the filter to make it look old fashioned like a very old flower.
![IMG_3312[1] IMG_3312[1]](http://kfow13.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/img_33121.jpg?w=300&h=213)
Another beautiful flower against the dark night background. The green and yellow are a cool combination.
![IMG_3321[1] IMG_3321[1]](http://kfow13.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/img_33211.jpg?w=300&h=248)
I added a cool filter to make this flower look like a painting as well. I think it makes it look older and fake, which is pretty.

I posterized this picture to brighten up the colors and add a little something to the flower. I love how close up and personal this flower is.

These pictures are from the Britney Spears concert I went to. Britney Spears is my all time favorite so I was sooo excited! The pictures actually turned out pretty good from where we were sitting.

She was sitting on an umbrella up in the air for this song. I like this picture because it looks like she’s the only one in the room. I used a filter to make the red umbrella stand out more.

This picture shows the movement of her in the cage. She was moving so fast that it was hard to catch one of her that wasn’t blurry. Wow this concert was amazing. I’m so glad I have good pictures to remember it by.

She is in the umbrella again here. This was before they rose her way up in the air. Everyone was flashing pictures at this point so it’s funny how there is another flash right across from where we were sitting. It turned out cool. I used a filter to make the colors stand out more.

These pictures were taken in my backyard on a very sunny day. This was a cool shot because this bush was surrounded by bees and I hate bees. The fact that I got close enough to take a picture of one was very cool.

I used a color filter to make the red on the flower stand out more against the very green leaves in the background. This is the natural color of the flower, and it’s a beautiful red.

I like how close the flower is to you in this picture. When you look at it, it’s like you can just reach out and touch it. I used a filter to make the red stand out more.

I used the same filter to make the flower pop more on this picture. I love how the sun is poking through the ocotillo. It shines on the flowers perfectly.

This picture is very similar but I used a different filter to give it a darker look.

I LOVED the sun in this picture. I didn’t plan it at all, but it turned out really pretty. The sun changes the focus from the flower to the sun which is very cool.

After I took the previous picture, I loved the sun through the ocotillo so I tried to get the sun peeking through from every angle. And I gave this pic a black and white filter to make it different.

Another example of the sun. This sun is a little bit different, the rays are longer and there are 6 sticking out like a star. It almost looks too perfect to be a sun.

The same angle of the sun, just a different filter and taken further away.

I think the ocotillo is so pretty and the sun behind it completes the picture. For some reason I liked it better in black and white than color, so I added a filter.

I was watching this bird for a while and when it jumped up and started flying, I just started taking pictures. I love how it’s in motion. I used noon day sun filter to make the picture brighter.

This was a different bird that came flying in right after the other. I wasn’t watching this bird but I just happened to catch it almost in the same position as the other bird. I also used a filter to brighten up the picture.

The sky was perfectly clear and the sun was shining right above me, so there was no reason for me not to take a picture.

This picture is not cropped at all. I was so surprised that I could actually get that close to a fly without it flying away! I was pretty excited that I could sneak up on it and take a picture.

I love the colors in this picture. The green against the blue is so pretty. And the bird at the top of the tree just looks at peace. It almost looks fake.

This shadow was so cool. I just happened to look down and see it. The surface is gravel and the tree was just infront of the sun to cast this perfect shadow.

I took these pictures at practice. You can see her form for throwing in this picture. You can also see her leg muscle which is really cool!

Althetics use pictures like this to improve on technique. In this picture, you can see the way her arm is positioned and how her feet are turned. Pictures that show the movement of an athlete are really popular in sports.

I really like how you can see the ball in the corner. Her face is focused on the ball which matches perfectly. I also like how the ball looks still in the air.

I took this picture in a restaurant in Nebraska. The restaurant was like a Chuck E. Cheese, with lots of games inside. I really like the colors of the wheel and how they stand out from the dark background. The wheel almost looks fake or like its an old photograph.

This is a picture of my little cousin and her dog. This is a special picture because she doesn’t have any siblings and that dog keeps her company. This picture was in the moment which I love. I also really like the angle of this picture.

This picture is adorable! Those are my cousins and they are so funny together, so this is picture perfect. They are the same age so they run around together all the time. I just love their expressions.

I took this picture using the self timer. This is my softball team. I really like this picture because its different than usual team pictures. It’s more casual and the mountains in the background are really pretty.

These pictures all have filters. I was having fun changing and experimenting with different looks. This picture has a stylized filter.

This picture has an oil paint filter. I like the way it looks like a old painting . The filter isn’t too extreme but its enough to make a difference.

This picture has an oil paint filter as well. I added a noon day sun day filter before the oil filter to make the cactus pop more. I like the painting effect a lot on this picture.

All of these pictures were taken in my backyard. I love the bright yellow and how it stands out against the dark green. I was excited because there was a small little bug on the flower that I got in the picture. I thought that was really cool.

This is one of my favorite pictures. I love how the flower is against a black backround. It makes it stand out that much more. I also like the leaf with water on it. It makes the flower look more realistic.

The pink of this flower is unreal. It just pops when you look at it. It’s such a beautiful color.

This is the same batch of flowers from above, just more flowers in the picture. I like how identical they are and how close they are to each other. Like the other picture, I was happy with the black background turned out.

The lighting on the plant is so cool. I love how the sun is shining on the tip of the plant. You can also see the sun rays coming down from the top left corner which is really pretty.

For my story picture, I did “How to swing a bat”. In the picture, I show the steps to hitting the ball. I also give text instructions so you can match the text up with the picture to get a better understanding. I posterized the picture slightly because I thought it looked better and more like a comic strip.

I made this sign for the athletic department as part of my client job. I printed it on a big poster so it really stands out in the office.

These are the 3 pictures I chose to model Nigel Barker’s photography. The simple backgrounds, the emotion in their faces and the “commercial” factor makes it look like his photography. I chose the first picture for the gallery.
